from cheikh tairou baye + sing-sIng rhythm's CD mame bouna - produced, recorded and mixed by GH. sing-sing rhythm is one the most celebrated traditional senegalese sabar drumming group in the world. They have worked with a wide variety of artist including youssou n'dour, peter gabriel, and doudou n'daiye rose. they are all from the griot caste - born into music, dance and keeping oral history. I had the pleasure of working with them on my CD MBALAFUNK, so when they asked me to produce their own CD, I was hugely flattered. It came out well, and quickly became the standard by which all sabar records are judged.
